In light of the devastation on the island of Puerto Rico as a result of Hurricane Maria, we desire to be the hands and feet of Jesus to show compassion to those are hurting.  The physical need is greater than our church alone can provide, but we want to do what we can to help.  We are partnering with several great Christian relief organizations that we highly recommend, and we have listed them below.

One organization we would like to support through our offerings is a local organization called “Love the Nations.” This organization is located in Tampa and directed by Joseph Pardo. Joseph was the director of “Friends of Internationals Tampa” when he came to KBC to share his ministry several years ago. He is now directing “Love the Nations,” for the purpose of mobilizing believers and resources into areas where the gospel is greatly needed. Their first ministry effort was to create the first Crisis Pregnancy Center in Puerto Rico. After two years it became independent and staffed by local believers. No sooner did they get the pregnancy center self-sufficient, Hurricane Maria hit the island. As a result, this disaster has caused the Love the Nations organization to focus their current ministry efforts on assisting the three local gospel churches of PR, with supplies to reach their communities.

“Love The Nations” is partnering with Agape Flights, Water Step, and Tender Mercies Ministries to provide clean water, food, and other necessities after the storm. Agape Flights, based in Venice, FL, will fly supplies, including generators, chain saws, and other items by the end of the month. They need to raise around $20,000 to cover the cost of these supplies and fuel for flights.
